SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2025: Vacancy

Candidates must have passed Matriculation or the 10th Class Examination from a recognized board as of January 1, 2025. This is the minimum educational requirement for all positions in this recruitment drive.

SC/ST/Female/Ex-Servicemen: Exempted from fees

The selection process for SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2025 consists of the following stages:

Computer-Based Examination (CBE)

Format: Objective type with 80 questions

Sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi

Total Marks: 160 (20 questions per section)

Negative Marking: 0.50 marks deducted for each wrong answer

Duration: 60 minutes

Languages: Available in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Male Candidates: 5 km run in 24 minutes (1.6 km in 7 minutes for Ladakh region)

Female Candidates: 1.6 km run in 8½ minutes (800 meters in 5 minutes for Ladakh region)

Note: Ex-servicemen are exempted from PET but will undergo PST

Physical Standard Test (PST)

Height Measurement: 170 cm for males, 157 cm for females (with relaxations for specific categories and regions)

Chest Measurement (Males only): 80 cm unexpanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cm

Detailed Medical Examination (DME)

Assessment of physical and medical fitness as per CAPF guidelines

Document verification

Review Medical Examination (RME)

Available for candidates declared unfit in DME who wish to appeal
